The Samsung Galaxy S10

The Samsung Galaxy S10

Samsung’s most innovative driven Galaxy line yet is already making waves in the tech world. For the first time, Samsung plans to release the next Galaxy S10 in early 2019 with THREE separate models under the codename: BEYOND. ET News, the Korean IT news giant, was one of the first to break down the Beyond models. So far, the main difference between “Beyond 0”, “Beyond 1” and “Beyond 2” is the number of rear and front-facing cameras. “Beyond 2” will feature a triple camera setup with a “pop up” style front camera. The “Beyond 2” is also expected to have about half an inch more of that stunning Galaxy infinity screen sitting at 6.2 inches.

Samsung’s Galaxy S9 plus was nicknamed the iPhone X killer for it’s VR tech, 960 fps video capability, and it’s dual camera aperture. Although the S9 Plus is a bit more stacked on hardware compared to the iPhone X, it seems that they are competing fairly evenly right now. As the two smartphones battle it out in the market, Samsung is learning all that it can from the consumer response. One of the biggest gripes iPhone X users are dealing with is the lack of a home button. The move seemed exciting at first, and the accuracy was exciting but “on about the 10th time in one day it starts to seem like a big deal.” The Beyond series doesn’t just one up the issue with a home button; it reinvents it. The new Galaxy will be sporting a Finger On Display (FOD) function, Mantis Vision’s 3D face ID module, and a possible iris authentication option. Samsung’s iris technology will make its debut along with the Galaxy Note 9 in early August. The feature making it to the Galaxy s10 depends on its performance in August.
Samsung will gear up for a demonstration in February 2019 at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. Here, we might expect the Beyond series or Samsung’s new folding smartphone to be unveiled. The announcement focused on innovation will come upon Galaxy’s 10-year anniversary. A few unofficial concept videos are up showcasing Samsung’s brilliant design. Check them out below!
